The fastest route into PLC work is rarely a single course. It is a chain of evidence: electrical fundamentals, readable logic, real or simulated I/O, structured troubleshooting, safe habits, documented projects, targeted applications, and progressively larger responsibilities. A degree can be one route through that chain, but it is not the only way to start building the skills.
Keep your claims proportional to your experience. Be willing to start in a technician role. Learn from electricians, mechanics, operators, and controls engineers. Build projects that fail on purpose so you learn to diagnose them. Save backups before changes. Respect safety boundaries. Explain what you know clearly and say what you still need to learn. Those habits are far more durable than memorizing the menu of one software package.
