One of the best ways to learn sensor diagnosis is to record data when the vehicle is healthy. Capture a cold-soak snapshot before starting, a warm idle snapshot, a steady cruise and a moderate acceleration. Record coolant temperature, intake temperature, MAP, MAF, fuel trims, oxygen/AFR data, charging voltage and any useful transmission or wheel-speed values.
The numbers are vehicle-specific, which is exactly why your own baseline is useful. Later, you can compare a suspected fault with known behavior from the same car rather than relying entirely on generic internet values.
You can also practice moving controls while graphing them: accelerator pedal, throttle, steering angle, brake switch and HVAC pressure. Watch how smooth signals should look. Learn which values update slowly and which respond instantly.
